This workshop series is an invitation to deepen your connection with yourself and others on a similar journey. Over the course of each 1.5-day session, you will engage in personal process work, gain practical tools, and explore ways to enhance your relationships and your impact in the world.

Each workshop begins with a session on a Friday night and continues with a morning and afternoon session the following day. Held at the historic Evans Creek Lodge along the Rouge River in Southfield, MI – a retreat oasis in Metro Detroit. “Pay from the Heart” with respect to your circumstances. Additional discounts for those who register early or for more than one workshop!

Join Jeremy Fulwiler, LMSW, ACCEP, CTS, an experienced Core Energetics bodymind counselor, and trainer, for one or more of these intimate retreats at Wellness Beyond Words this year.

Everybody Hurts

Your Pain as a Pathway to a Meaningful Life

Fri. Sep. 12, 6-8:30p and Sat. Sep. 13, 10:30a-5p
All experiences of pain, whether fleeting, migrating or chronic are relevant and welcome, as well as whether physical, mental, emotional or a combination.
In this retreat, you will:

  • Learn current research about pain and how best to treat it

  • Implement skills to prevent, reduce and/or address your pain now

  • Process pain (and your relationship to it) as a pathway into deeper meaning and intimacy in your life

  • Experience healing on individual and collective levels

  • Accelerate the work you're doing in therapy or other healing modalities

This retreat may be for you if you:

  • Have ever experienced pain and didn't like it!

  • Have a chronic or migrating pain condition that you've worked on treating through various medical and non-medical ways, but are still experiencing

  • Don't have much experience with recurring pain, but understand that how we relate to experiences of pain is a significant indicator of our overall wellbeing and resilience

  • Would like to feel more possibility - not less - when pain occurs.

  • Are a healing professional or caregiver seeking to expand your capacity and tools to support others
